The author is a long time software
developer and systems administrator since 2002. Worked on a lot of
programming languages including Java J2EE, C, C++, Visual Basic,
Microsoft .Net, PHP, Node JS, and along with different databases for
those software written in those languages including MS SQL, MySQL,
PostGreSQL, Oracle, DB2, and even Mongo DB. Experienced systems
administration on various Linux/Unix machines and Windows OS servers.
Worked on different web application servers such as different Tomcat
variants, Glassfish, IBM Websphere, and others.
Worked for world renowned companies
like ON Semiconductor (formerly Motorola), Hitachi GST, Finastra
(formerly Misys), Accenture, AIG, Bank of Ireland and various small
start ups. Fields involved including banking software, insurance
software, wireless (SMS, MMS) software, Internet of Things (IoT),
e-commerce applications, and manufacturing platforms. Work
responsibilities included software development, research and
development, software maintenance support, and most recently as
associate manager. Lately semi-retired and focusing on investments
(NFT, crypto, stocks) since 4th week of May 2021, but may
consider going back in the workforce after the pandemic.
As for personal life, the author is
the eldest of three, has a brother and a sister. The author has one
child, a son born 2009. The author’s only son is staying with
his mom on a different island and the pandemic restrictions including
financial and other difficulties recently meant years of separation
between father and son. Started venturing into trading, NFT, and
crypto since late 2014 - early 2015.
